Global Accounting Manager

Chicago-based role with light in-office presence (2x/month)

This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing global accounting across multiple regions. It's built for an experienced professional who brings both technical depth and sound business judgment. You'll serve as a critical partner to senior leadership—trusted to guide decisions that affect structure, risk, and global execution.

What You'll Own

*End-to-end ownership of global accounting operations across multiple regions and legal entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency with global accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).

*Lead the monthly close process for a complex portfolio of foreign subsidiaries, coordinating timely, detailed, and transparent financial reporting across currencies and jurisdictions.

*Manage global allocation policies and execution—ensuring alignment between cross-border intercompany transactions, financial reporting, and tax compliance.

*Partner with regional finance teams and senior leadership to drive forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow planning across multiple currencies and regulatory environments.

*Oversee global tax compliance, audit readiness, and statutory filings.

*Continuously refine and optimize intercompany reconciliations, foreign currency accounting, and reporting controls to mitigate risk and improve efficiency.

*Provide strategic financial insights and scenario analyses that directly inform global investment decisions and expansion strategies.

*Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, treasury, tax, and operations teams to ensure integrated financial alignment across the business.

What Sets You Apart

*Fluent in Spanish to effectively lead and collaborate across cross-border teams.

*7+ years in accounting, with at least 3 leading a team.

*Experience with foreign subsidiaries, intercompany transactions, and multi-currency operations, coupled with a strong command of GAAP and IFRS and working knowledge of global tax compliance.

*Proficient in Excel and large, complex ERP financial systems.
