Job Title: Clinic Manager - Behavioral Health Clinic
Location: Associated Mental Health Consultants, Wauwatosa, WI Job Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Clinic Owner/Medical Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinic Manager to oversee the daily operations of our behavioral health clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a passion for improving patient care in the mental health field. As the Clinic Manager, you will be responsible for managing clinic staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, financial oversight, billing processes and HR. You will be expected to foster a positive, supportive environment for both patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve clinic operations and patient care.
- Staff Management:
- Supervise and support clinic staff, including therapists, NP's, administrative personnel, and support staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide training, and facilitate professional development opportunities.
- Financial Oversight:
- Manage the clinic's budget, billing, and financial reporting.
- Monitor expenses and revenue to ensure the clinic remains financially viable.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
- Oversee and troubleshoot billing.
- Patient Services:
- Ensure a high level of patient satisfaction by implementing best practices in patient care and clinic operations.
- Address patient concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Find opportunities for patient acquisition and overall clinic growth.
- Compliance and Quality Control:
- Ensure the clinic complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including healthcare laws and standards.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and integrate them into clinic operations.
- Collaboration and Networking:
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, referral sources, and other healthcare providers.
- Participate in community outreach efforts to enhance the clinic's visibility and build partnerships.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to clinic operations and patient care.
- Prepare reports for management and stakeholders as needed.
- Manage EMR software and functions.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum of [3] years of experience in healthcare management, preferably in behavioral health.
- Proven experience in staff supervision and operational management.
- Must have knowledge of insurance billing procedures and claim processing
- Marketing experience required
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in healthcare management software and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Knowledge of behavioral health regulations and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of EMR software and functions.
Working Conditions:
- The Clinic Manager will work primarily in an office environment within the clinic.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for special events or meetings.
