The House Supervisor is responsible for supervision of hospital activities and coordination between patient care areas and other departments for the delivery of safe and appropriate patient care for a specific shift.

• Call Shifts required

• Eligible for Call Shift Differential plus Base Pay!!!

Your day.

As a Neurosurgery ORRNClinical Coordinator,you need to know how to:

• Supervise, lead, role model and coordinatethe activities of personnel engaged in providing excellent patient focused care&supporting physician practices through the provision of integrated, effective&innovative nursing practices&related medical services. Supervisedaily staffing and productivity in assigned area/department. Assureappropriatestaffassignments and schedule and seek resources as needed.

• Serveas role model, mentor, and supervisor of staff.

• Actas a leadership and clinical resource for assigned area/department. Supportassociates in resolving patient and unit/department issues, concerns, and complaints. Escalateissues as needed/ aswarranted.

• Participatein a leadership role in performance improvement activities, new initiatives, and other unit functions. Participatein interviewing andselectionof assigned personnel.

• Proactively seekopportunities toidentifyand implement methods to improve financial outcomes, patient care and outcomes, and associate and physician engagement.

• Performthe responsibilities of a RN, as needed.

• Demonstrate and promoteexemplary service orientation to patients,members, providers,&staff.

• Overseetraining of personnel and ensureorientation to policies, procedures&expectations. Ensurethat the training activities incorporate all applicable policies, local, state&federal laws®ulations,&accreditation standards.

• Participatewithmanaging associate performance, includingmotivating,coachingand counseling on immediate performance issues, recommendingappropriate action, disciplining, andadvisingleadership on terminations. Supportdepartment leadership in issue/conflict resolution, developing performance improvement plans, and administering the discipline process.

• Assess&developrecommendations for new or revised general or nursing policies,procedures, and guidelines.

• Partner withthe physician leaders in creating a culture of commitment to patient focused service, excellent support of physician practices, innovation, compliance,ethicsand integrity.Assistwith managing staff, projects, budgets, and other related leadership activities.

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why werequire:

• ASN / ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain your BSN from an accredited program within four (4) years of hire unless youpossessa minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting

• Current Colorado RNlicense or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license

• Current BLScertification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire (with prior approval;ACLS/NRP/PALS asappropriate forunit or service)

• Minimum of three (3) years of RN experience

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing(BSN)

• 3-5 Years Neurosurgery Circulating Experience in a Level I or II hospital setting

• At least one year RN coordinator or Charge RN experience

• Current specialty certification(s) asappropriate forunit or service

Physical Requirements:

• Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

• Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.

• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.

• Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.

• Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).

• May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
