Overview

Executive Summary

The General Manager will oversee all aspects of a location's day-to-day operations; the individual will drive growth, performance metrics, create culture, and develop all staff and management. They will constantly strive to be a world-class operator and help others do the same. In addition to full P&L ownership, the General Manager is responsible for capturing a major MSA through organic growth and potentially leading additional M&A activity.

We seek highly capable individuals because they can have an expedited path to lead significant organic growth initiatives and be involved with additional M&A activities to rapidly expand. Experience in the trades is not necessary; General Managers will receive an intensive program with one of our most successful service businesses before assuming the senior leadership role.

This decentralized roll-up strategy requires visionary, people-focused, financially savvy business leaders who will aggressively grow their businesses both organically and inorganically through add-on acquisitions. The opportunity to bring best-in-class business practices is significant.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Increase key metrics including revenue, sales conversion percentage, average invoice, employee retention, customer satisfaction, and maintenance subscription plans.
  • Deliver the “gold standard” of service and quality through training, accountability, and metrics.
  • Develop culture, systems, and measures to teach and train industry-leading staff, increasing eNPS and retention at all levels.
  • Build a culture of purpose among the management team.
  • Make a difference for our people and the communities in which we do business, helping impact the middle class through expansion of outstanding employment opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of Management/Supervisory experience required; P&L experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with, or deep respect for, the Skilled Trades and/or similar industries
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, risk analysis, and develop solutions
  • A leader of character
  • A leader who inspires “followership” among the team
Compensation
  • General Managers can expect a very competitive six-figure base salary and annual bonus, with strong upside based on performance and expansion efforts.
