This role is vital to the successful assembly and operation of fire apparatuses and specialty vehicles. As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for performing high-quality electrical installations, diagnostics, and repairs, following engineering standards and safety protocols.Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, and route complex wiring harnesses and junction boxes in accordance with detailed schematics and work instructions.
- Install and interconnect various electrical components, including lighting, control panels, power systems, and sensors.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints with precision and accuracy.
- Program, set up, test, inspect, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components, ensuring they meet quality and operational standards.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues during and after the assembly process.
- Modify sheet metal and enclosures to accommodate new electrical components or system redesigns.
- Inspect mechanical assemblies to ensure proper alignment, grounding, and secure integration of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to continuously improve electrical layouts and optimize installation processes.
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of 12V/24V heavy-duty automotive electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and wiring diagrams.
- Previous experience in vehicle or equipment assembly is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
- Must be comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
