General Maintenance Set-Ups Lead Posted on 7/21/2025 Accepting applications About this position The set-ups lead person has oversight for the efficient setup and tear down of all events for an active, residential college campus.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Scheduling and timely set-up for all college functions.
  • Maintenance and utilization of the inventory of tables, chairs, tents and grills.
  • Care and maintenance of the campus grounds and buildings while setting up equipment.
  • Delivery of supplies and furniture in a timely manner to all requesting departments.
  • Operation of college vehicles to delivery supplies and furniture.
  • Coordination of the relocation of internal offices.
  • Assist with all moves assigned in and outside of campus buildings including student and office moves.
  • Report items, areas, and equipment in need of repair.
  • Contributes to the success of the department by performing all other duties as needed to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of the College.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Requires the ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis, prolonged walking or standing, and frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching on a daily basis.
  • Requires a full range of physical motion in order to set-up, prepare and maintain equipment and machines.
  • Requires the ability to access facilities and areas which may only be accessible by climbing stairs or by climbing ladders to a height of 15 feet.
  • Must be able to move throughout assigned areas, as the work is performed primarily out-of-doors, year round.
  • About our ideal candidate EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Completion of the 10th grade is required. However, significant relatable experience beyond that required for the position may be substituted for the required formal education. A high school diploma or the equivalent is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years experience as a laborer, gardener, groundskeeper or similar work involving general labor duties which may include maintenance of grounds.
  • Must be able to read English language sufficiently to understand written work orders and instructions as well as directions for the proper use of machinery and disposal/storage of solvents, chemicals, and similar products used in grounds services.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and independently as required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse constituents.
  • Must have valid Florida Driver's License. Must maintain a safe, valid driver's license throughout the course of employment.
