Facility in Syracuse, NY seeking Neonatology APP locums coverage Rates: $160/hr Assignment Details - Start Date: August 2025
- Duration: Ongoing based on staffing needs
- Shift Schedule:
- 12-hour or 24-hour weekend shifts available
- Flexible scheduling options
- Practice Setting: Level III NICU
- EMR System: EPIC
Clinical Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a Level III NICU (16 beds)
- Independently manage 8 9 patients/day (0 2 admissions per shift)
- Attend C-sections and provide coverage for well-baby nursery
- Perform a wide range of neonatal procedures, including:
- Ventilation management (Invasive and Non-invasive)
- UAC/UVC placement, lumbar punctures
- Chest tube insertion, diagnostic/therapeutic taps
- Arterial and central line insertion
- Management of volume/blood pressure changes
- Coordinate care with 3 full-time neonatologists (on-site during the day, on-call 24/7)
Candidate Requirements - Certification: Board-Certified Neonatology NP or experienced NICU PA
- Licensure: Active New York license required
- Experience: Must be fully competent in independent NICU patient management
