ACE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, founded in 2000 in Denver, Colorado, to provide low-income children with equal access to quality K-12 private schools through partial scholarship support. Over the past 25 years, ACE has delivered more than 100,000 scholarships worth over $330million. This school year, ACE is serving approximately 14,000+ children in

Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming, and is actively pursuing other expansion opportunities with the support of a national funding partner. In 2023, ACE Scholarships expanded its program offerings by administrating Educational Savings Account programs for state governments. Position Overview

The Community Outreach Manager a national face of ACE in the field — building trusted relationships with schools, families, and community partners to uncover and share powerful mission moments” across our 13 states. This role involves travel for regular in-person outreach, school visits, speaking engagements, and preparing students and families to serve as speakers at ACE events. Reporting to the National Public Relations & Community Outreach Director, this role supports the strategy for our national outreach efforts.

Primary Job Responsibilities

1. Relationships Cultivation

  • Cultivate relationships with ACE school leaders, alumni, service providers, and families across 13+ states.
  • Phone call and email communications with stakeholders, escalating to in-person visits and coffee meetings to identify impactful student/family stories.
  • Prepare families and students for public speaking engagements.

2. Community & School Choice Outreach

  • Represent ACE at community events and manage local outreach initiatives.
  • Conference management for internal ACE Staff at various stakeholder industry events and national school choice advocacy partnership event.

3. Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the PR Director, MarComms and Development teams to share mission moments.

4. Team Management

  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the Community Outreach Coordinator
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and professional development planning.
  • Ensure alignment across roles in support of ACE's media and content strategy.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; clear, professional written and verbal presentation
  • High emotional intelligence and customer empathy, especially when working with diverse family populations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Education, Community Engagement, or related field, or equivalent working experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable.
  • Proficient with CRMs (e.g., Raiser's Edge), Microsoft Office365, Zoom, and Teams.
  • High emotional intelligence and customer empathy, especially when working with diverse family populations
  • Passion for educational freedom, school choice, and ACE's mission.

Location, Travel, and Reporting

  • This is an in-office position based in Denver, CO.
  • Reports to National Public Relationships & Community Outreach Director
  • Direct reports: 1 with potential for growth
  • 25-33% travel throughout the year

FLSA Status:

Full-time, Exempt.

Compensation/Benefits

Annual Salary of $70,000 - $80,000 and eligible for annual performance bonuses, plus benefits package, which includes but is not limited to:

Actual compensation offered will be finalized at offer and may be above the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location. The offer represents the components of our total rewards package.
