About This RoleThis onsite IT technical role in Menlo Park reports to the Director of Operations, with oversight from the VP of Engineering Services and Director of Operations, aligned with company deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, configure, and operate computer systems, network servers, and virtualization with top security practices.
  • Lead help desk support, resolve desktop and equipment issues promptly, and manage ticketing systems.
  • Implement and improve cybersecurity measures.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software errors, diagnose issues, and document resolutions.
  • Manage capacity, storage, databases, licenses, and renewals.
  • Oversee onboarding setups and user training on new tech.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and contractors.
  • Set up new equipment and assist with relocations.
  • Administer network infrastructure including switches, routers, and VPNs.
  • Support occasional nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in related fields or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of systems, networking, hardware, and protocols.
  • Experience with scripting, automation, and various OS platforms.
  • Account management experience.
  • Knowledge of virtualization tools like Docker and VMware.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute IT strategies.
  • Expertise in helpdesk operations, security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery.
  • Detail-oriented and data-driven.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Salary range: $110,000 - $140,000.
