Summary:

The General Manager of Production is responsible for directing and training supervisors in all facets including but not limited to production paperwork, yields, time and attendance, discipline, motivation, turnover, absenteeism, safety, problem solving, etc. Accountable for performance, safety, quality, workers' compensation, turnover, morale, and other duties as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations and ensure efficiency.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
• Monitor performance metrics and identify improvement areas.
• Coordinate with other departments for seamless operations.
• Manage and mentor the Sr. Production Management team.
• Work alongside the Operations Manager.
• Ensure compliance with FDA and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, security, and food safety standards.
• Work cross-functionally to meet production and safety goals.
• Lead problem-solving initiatives with timely follow-up.
• Execute projects and manage them to completion.
• Assist supervisors in resolving production and employee concerns.
• Coach supervisors to manage their teams effectively.
• Determine manpower needs and make recommendations.
• Interpret and enforce company policies.
• Monitor plant metrics and pursue continuous improvement.
• Ensure safety and sanitation compliance.
• Develop manufacturing plans for efficiency.
• Maintain performance management practices.
• Perform special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 5+ years supervisory experience in operations management; meat processing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with processing floor operations is a plus.
• HACCP certification and understanding of OSHA and USDA principles are a plus.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Problem-solving and team leadership skills.
• Physical ability to access all production areas.
• Supervisory responsibility for all production operations.
• Some travel may be required.
• Must reside in the U.S.; sponsorship not available.
• Resume submission required.

Additional Details:

Relocation assistance available.

Work shift: 2nd shift.

Pay range: $83,000 - $173,000.

Incentives include annual incentive plan; long-term incentives not available.

Additional compensation may include shift differentials, overtime, bonuses, etc.
