The role involves handling patent prosecution, conducting IP due diligence, and providing strategic guidance on patent-related matters. Duties:
- Prepare and prosecute patent applications across a range of technologies.
- Conduct patent landscape analysis and freedom-to-operate assessments.
- Perform IP due diligence to support mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
- Collaborate with attorneys and technical specialists to develop IP strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of patent laws and industry developments.
- Communicate with clients, inventors, and patent examiners regarding applications.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in patent prosecution.
- Strong academic credentials in a relevant engineering or technical field.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and writing skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) registration or eligibility to register.
Education:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional background in Computer Science or Software Development is highly desirable.
Certifications:
- Registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) or ability to become registered.
