AWS Hours Requirement: 8/40 - 8 Hour Shift

Additional Shift Information: Variable shift start and end times

Weekend Requirements: As Needed

On-Call Required: Yes

Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $72.422 - $93.448 - $114.474

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will depend on various factors, including experience, skills, education, internal alignment, marketplace factors, and employer policies.

What You Will Do

Primary responsibilities include providing administrative oversight and direction for the OR/SPD Units. Responsible for planning, directing, leading, and evaluating nursing care within these departments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 3 Years leadership and management experience
  • 2 Years operating room RN experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 Years leadership and management experience
  • Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) - PREFERRED
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification - PREFERRED

Essential Functions

  • Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization
  • Oversees daily workflow, staffing, training, and development of employees
  • Organizes services for multidisciplinary care; responsible for clinical and financial performance
  • Responsible for quality/performance improvement processes
  • Facilitates meetings and participates in committees
  • Supports a collaborative team approach in patient care
  • Acts as a liaison for the unit, providing guidance to physicians, families, and departments
  • Supports hospital policies, procedures, and objectives
  • Leads initiatives for improved teamwork and relationships
  • Participates in quality assurance programs including LEAN and HRO
  • Monitors patient satisfaction and implements improvement plans
  • Monitors patient volumes, care quality, and staff performance for improvements
  • Maintains a departmental dashboard tracking progress on key metrics
  • Investigates complaints and works towards resolution
  • Hires, coaches, and evaluates staff; manages departmental budget within criteria
  • Uses problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Maintains required competencies and pursues professional growth

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of NCQA, JCAHO, and other accreditation standards
  • Experience with email, word processing, spreadsheets, and customer service databases
