Our client, a leading global supplier of technologies for the automotive and commercial vehicle market, is seeking a Solutions Architect. This is a long-term contract role located in the Detroit, MI area.
The IT Solutions Architect / Engineering will collaborate closely with clients to optimize business processes, align IT applications with those processes, and develop global application architectures and standards to support the business.
The Solutions Architect / Engineering will design long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans. They will model business and system processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models. The architect will define requirements for suppliers, develop, document, and communicate plans for investing in Product and Manufacturing Engineering, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
The Solutions Architect should have experience in applying Product and Manufacturing process design solutions, be able to conceptualize, plan, document, and communicate effectively. Extensive experience in technology management—such as product and process designing tools, simulation, testing, validation, PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), and program/project management solutions—is required. Prior experience with Siemens solutions, including Teamcenter roadmapping and deployment, is essential.
