Rugby Manufacturing is seeking a Supply Chain Manager. Rugby is North America's leading designer and manufacturer of Class 3-5 dump truck bodies, landscape bodies, platform bodies, truck and trailer hoists, and related truck equipment and accessories.
Job Summary:
Hire, train, and mentor a team of approximately 15 employees and a supervisor.Conduct performance evaluations and resolve internal issues as needed.Oversee daily workflow of purchasing, inventory control, and distribution teams, including receiving, storing, and shipping staff.Develop and implement procurement, storage, and distribution strategies for materials.Manage inventory levels to ensure material availability while minimizing excess stock.Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments for timely delivery of materials.Oversee logistics operations, including transportation and warehousing.Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify improvement areas.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.Develop and manage budgets for materials and logistics.Implement systems for tracking and reporting logistics activities.Apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve processes and reduce costs.Perform other related duties as assigned.Environment:
Office, production floor, and shipping yard.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.At least 2 years of experience in materials management and logistics preferred.Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.Leadership and team management skills.Proficiency in MS Office, logistics software, and inventory management systems.Decision-making and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently or in teams.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.Team player capable of collaborating across departments.Availability to attend company meetings.About Us:
