Role Overview
In the role of Transportation Construction Manager II, you'll be responsible for:
Managing subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and quality controlPreparing the Project Management Plan or Construction Management PlanDeveloping procedures for construction contract administration, including document management, change, time, cost, quality, and safety management, in coordination with the project teamPerforming construction management activities such as procurement, schedule development, subcontract scope review, and performance reviewsAdministering and managing construction activitiesMonitoring design progress related to construction requirementsConducting value engineering and constructability reviewsCoordinating local bidding efforts for quotesAssisting in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packagesReviewing and coordinating construction submittals, shop drawings, and pay applicationsPreparing, issuing, and negotiating Change OrdersReviewing construction schedules and controlling project budget and scheduleManaging quality assurance, control, and inspection servicesEnsuring subcontractor compliance with health and safety protocolsUpdating project schedules, pay requests, and progress reportsManaging project setup and temporary facilitiesPerforming additional duties as neededPreferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with estimating, scheduling, project management, and web-based collaboration software
- Preference for local candidates
This position requires a background check and pre-employment drug testing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 10 years of experience in construction planning and management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam
- Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement
