Role Overview

In the role of Transportation Construction Manager II, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and quality control
  • Preparing the Project Management Plan or Construction Management Plan
  • Developing procedures for construction contract administration, including document management, change, time, cost, quality, and safety management, in coordination with the project team
  • Performing construction management activities such as procurement, schedule development, subcontract scope review, and performance reviews
  • Administering and managing construction activities
  • Monitoring design progress related to construction requirements
  • Conducting value engineering and constructability reviews
  • Coordinating local bidding efforts for quotes
  • Assisting in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages
  • Reviewing and coordinating construction submittals, shop drawings, and pay applications
  • Preparing, issuing, and negotiating Change Orders
  • Reviewing construction schedules and controlling project budget and schedule
  • Managing quality assurance, control, and inspection services
  • Ensuring subcontractor compliance with health and safety protocols
  • Updating project schedules, pay requests, and progress reports
  • Managing project setup and temporary facilities
  • Performing additional duties as needed
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license
    • Experience with estimating, scheduling, project management, and web-based collaboration software
    • Preference for local candidates

    This position requires a background check and pre-employment drug testing.

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
    • At least 10 years of experience in construction planning and management
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam
    • Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement
