Job Description: Warner Construction Assistant Project Managers are motivated and have a solution-orientated attitude and the desire to build a long-term career with Warner Construction. This individual will excel at communication and be eager to represent our company with the highest level of integrity.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager with tracking the overall progress of a project in support of all project goals.
  • Oversee and implement document control for the projects including RFI's, submittals, updating current drawing sets, permit applications, and as-builts.
  • Responsible for obtaining and placing purchase order agreements with various suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Assist the project manager with cost estimating and change management controls
  • Track and escalate issues to Project Manager of any changes in quality control plans and control issues.
  • Prepare monthly progress billings.
  • Review contracts and identify concerns or opportunities.
  • Review and evaluate overall project schedule progress.
  • Contribute to evaluations of productivity and progress reporting.
  • Develop positive relationships with clients, owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Maintain an optimistic outlook and positive attitude with ultimate goal of providing the best in service to clients.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 2-5 years' experience in commercial base building construction
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, industrial, architectural engineering, construction management or related engineering field and working knowledge of the entire construction process
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and people skills
  • Comfortable with technology and various construction software programs
  • Demonstrated leader proven dependability as well as support for company policies.
  • Ability to read architectural, structural, and mechanical construction plans.
  • Attention to detail to follow instructions and/or direction from plans and supervisors.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills and able to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Must be a self-motivator and team participant.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
