Basic Function

HollyFrontier Corporation is seeking a Manager - Refinery Accounting in Anacortes, WA.

Job Duties

Oversee and direct aspects of the accounts department, including Accounts Receivable/Payable, Operations, Yield, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting, Movements and Inventory, Crude Oil Accounting, or Refinery Accounting.

Assist in developing Sarbanes Oxley and other compliance procedures.

Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of data to all company areas.

Develop, analyze, and generate reports for plant management.

Review and resolve problems and variances within the department.

Manage inventories, project accounting, and general accounting in the assigned area.

Implement and maintain yield accounting systems.

Review inventory measurement processes to ensure compliance with API standards and policies.

Coordinate with auditors regarding refinery accounting issues.

Define and guide refinery transaction processes to ensure consistency and proper accounting impact.

Maintain and review shipper reports and ensure timely vendor payments.

Maintain reporting work papers for Sarbanes Oxley compliance.

Assist with SAP final consolidation and closing.

Research and enhance refinery accounting policies, and administer approved practices.

Oversee expense control, budgeting, analysis, and waste reduction.

Experience

Minimum of ten (10) years in a similar role or related occupation, with leadership experience, familiarity with GAAP, accounting laws, complex accounting programs, and advanced mathematical calculations related to financial reporting.

Education Level

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Required SkillsSupervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Supervises five (5) employees.
