About The Ruhlin Company
The Ruhlin Company is seeking to hire a full-time Project Manager for its Civil Division in Columbus, OH.
Position Summary
Plan, organize, and control all resources (employees, equipment, materials, subs) for the successful execution of a project. Lead project teams to ensure project quality, schedule, cost control, safety, and customer satisfaction objectives are met. Serve as the primary contact for owners. Bridge experience necessary.
Position ResponsibilitiesSafety
- Work with the Safety Director to ensure safe working conditions and practices.
- Ensure assigned projects perform better than safety goals.
- Perform monthly safety inspections.
Quality
- Monitor and ensure quality control.
Schedule
- Review project proposals and plans for timelines and resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
Cost
- Supervise pre-construction services, manage project finances, and oversee scope and claims.
- Assist with staffing, reporting, and project close-out activities.
Owner Relationship
- Maintain positive relationships with owners and architects.
- Review change orders and pay requests.
General
- Set project goals, monitor performance, and foster team development.
- Ensure compliance with regulations.
Essential Skills And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- Minimum five years supervisory experience in construction.
- Preferred ODNR project experience.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and estimating.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Experience leading craft labor and teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, Viewpoint Vista, HCSS, P6, CAD.
- Bridge experience necessary.
