This position is located in Upper Marlboro, MD, with core working hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. It is a full-time role offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Position: Quality Manager

The Quality Manager will develop, implement, and oversee a complete Quality Management System (QMS) across various contract site locations. Responsibilities include identifying and resolving operational issues and ensuring work conforms to contract requirements. The incumbent will liaise with the Site Quality team, Melwood's Facilities Management Services team, and internal staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the QMS plan at contract sites.
  • Document work processes, procedures, and output measures.
  • Assess compliance with performance objectives and standards.
  • Schedule and perform inspections and surveillance.
  • Maintain documentation of quality inspections and surveillance activities.
  • Develop plans for preventative actions and continuous improvement.
  • Take corrective actions and adjust processes based on assessments.
  • Oversee services provided by subcontractors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Essential Functions

    Supervision exercised: None

    Supervision received: The incumbent reports to the Vice President, Facility Management Services.

    Physical Qualifications

    The candidate must be able to stand 80% of the time, sit 20%, lift/carry 50 pounds, push/pull 50 pounds, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, and communicate effectively. Visual acuity and depth perception are required for inspections.

    Qualifications

    BA/BS in a related field with at least five years of experience in quality control/assurance or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum three years in a leadership or management role. Proficiency in drafting and implementing quality management plans, strong technical and observational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required. Must be flexible to work days, evenings, and weekends, possess a valid driver's license, and be able to pass a security clearance.
