We have an exciting opportunity for a Partnerships Manager at UL Research Institutes, based in Evanston, Illinois.

Job Description

The Partnerships Manager will play a key role in expanding and deepening strategic partnerships that support our mission and sustainability. Responsibilities include identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with foundations, academic institutions, NGOs, government agencies, and private-sector partners.

  • Identify and pursue strategic partnership opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
  • Cultivate relationships with current and prospective partners across sectors.
  • Support partnership strategy development to enhance research impact and funding.
  • Collaborate with research, communications, and development teams.
  • Draft proposals, MOUs, and partnership agreements; coordinate proposal development.
  • Track activities, deliverables, and performance metrics; report to leadership and funders.
  • Represent UL at events and conferences.

Ideal Candidate Attributes

  • Understanding of nonprofit funding, experience with foundations and academic institutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8 years in partnership development, donor engagement, or external relations in a nonprofit or research organization.

UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement are dedicated to safety science research, standards development, and safety education, fostering global communities of safety.

Salary Range: $108,418.43 - $149,075.34

Employment Type: Full-time, Mid-Senior Level
