Our Charlotte, NC office is seeking a Senior Engineer with project management capabilities to support our nationally ranked solid waste program in the Carolinas. This role involves managing project assignments and marketing efforts related to solid waste planning, design, and construction for landfill and related facilities. The ideal candidate will effectively lead multi-discipline teams, collaborate with national experts, maintain client satisfaction, and meet booking goals. Responsibilities include marketing, client coordination, engineering tasks, and industry engagement. Additional duties include system planning, economic analysis, and construction oversight. Leadership experience from planning to operations is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate project teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage all aspects of small to medium projects or routine large projects
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and participate in marketing and meetings
  • Conduct work sessions and coordinate deliverables
  • Manage staffing, workload, and project schedules
  • Oversee project budgets and financials
  • Collaborate with leadership for project reviews
  • Implement quality assurance and control procedures
  • Perform additional duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Local candidates preferred
  • *LI-SM1
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 7 years of related experience
  • At least 2 years of project management experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with MS Office and MS Project; Access experience a plus
  • Proven leadership skills
