Job DetailsJob LocationChesterfield Hotel and Suites - Miami Beach, FLDescriptionResponsibilitiesThe company provides expert guidance through all stages of the hospitality property cycle, from planning and development through recapitalization or dispositionThe Groundskeeper is responsible for ensuring that the outside grounds of the property is maintained at the best possible condition at all times with the least amount of inconvenience to guests and employeesThe Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the grounds outside the building to include: trimming of grass, trees, shrubs, removal, and planting of all types of plants, etcMaintain a clean safe work areaMaintain all plants and grounds: pick up all trash, water all plants/shrubs/trees/flowers, as necessaryTrim, prune, fertilize and maintain all trees, plants and shrubs on the groundsPlant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs throughout the groundsUse all tools and equipment safely and correctlyMaintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all timesMust be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlinesApproach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented mannerAttend all hotel required meetings and trainingsMaintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotelMaintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametagComply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operationsMaximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutionsMust be able to cross-train in other hotel related areasMust be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needsPerform other duties as requested by managementQualificationsQualificationsFlexible and long hours sometimes requiredHeavy work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objectsMust be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented mannerMust be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guestsMust be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessaryMust be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etcfrom various sources to meet appropriate objectivesMust be able to maintain confidentiality of information
