Outstanding organizational and prioritization skillsMinimum of two years' proven experience in the landscape or athletic field industryStrong attention to detailGED or High School DiplomaValid GA Driver's License and a Westminster acceptable driving recordCustomer-service orientedFlexible with the willingness to use initiative and handle extra duties as neededDemonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion; respect and value the different experiences, ideas, and backgrounds others bring to the work environmentProven time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasksWork independently or with a team with little supervision while maintaining a high level of performanceBasic communication skills and working knowledge of the English language; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, short correspondence, and memosProfessional and effective use of interpersonal and communication skills; interact with tact and diplomacyBasic computer skills with the ability to use an iPad or similar device for completing work orders, checking emails, etc.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms a variety of grounds and sports field-related tasks such as mowing, painting, aeration, topdressing, fertilizing, pest control, and litter controlCares for trees, shrubs, and flowers by watering, pruning, fertilizing, mulching, caring for beds, and controlling weedsPlants annuals, perennials, sod, and any landscape or athletic field enhancementMaintains, operates, and adjusts irrigation controllers, valves, and sprinklers of the irrigation systemsPerforms regular maintenance and routine inspections of equipment and toolsNotifies superiors of any damages, deficits, and disturbances with equipment and the campus in generalParticipates in employee safety trainingEnsures workshop area is cleaned and organized dailyMaintains tools and equipment in safe and sound working orderComplies with all safety practices, procedures, and rulesOther duties as assignedPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, and feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; talk and hear. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The ability to become CPR and First Aid Certified is required.While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to outside weather conditions and frequently walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.
