Duties: Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, support, security, and reliable operation of all computer networks within the company.
Primary Responsibilities - Responsible for the configuration, maintenance and reliable operation of all network infrastructure devices such as switches, firewalls, routers, etc.
- Responsible for the security of the company network, including ingress and egress traffic.
- Partner with the systems administrator to help monitor, support, and maintain the company servers, applications, and other technologies.
- Provide escalated support to Helpdesk/Desktop Support personnel.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
Required Education and Experience - 2-year degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Services or related field OR a combination of education and relevant experience
- A minimum of 5 years of network management administration experience.
Required Qualifications - IT Certifications: Cisco, Microsoft, or other network related fields.
- Working knowledge of Cisco iOS, Fortigate firewalls, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
- Strong experience in VMWare and HyperV
- Experience with scripting and automation tools.
- A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
- Strong knowledge of implementation and effective development of helpdesk and IT operations best practices.
