Nova 401(k) Associates is seeking an experienced leader to head our Annual Distributions Team, a pivotal role in our organization. As the Annual Distributions Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory deadlines for processing required distributions and managing the department's operations effectively.
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong working knowledge of ERISA, including distribution requests such as required minimum distributions (RMDs), involuntary distributions, corrective distributions, and loan defaults. You should also be able to interpret upcoming regulations affecting the retirement industry.
Your duties will include addressing escalated issues, mentoring staff, and collaborating with other departments, including automation, to improve processes.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage 8-10 staff members
- Promote Nova 401(k) Associates values and policies
- Ensure client and participant satisfaction
- Meet service standards and regulatory deadlines
- Monitor team productivity and generate reports
- Assist in training and mentoring staff
- Manage distribution requests inflow and outflow
- Improve and develop processes
- Stay updated on regulations and legislation
- Perform other duties as required
- Conduct performance reviews timely
- Attend leadership & development training in Houston or other locations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- At least five years of management experience in a high-volume environment
- Experience with 401(k) loans/distributions
- Proficient online working skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
- Flexible and able to multi-task
- Clean background check
- Industry credentials like ASPPA/NIPA are a plus
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $90,000-$115,000
- Salaried, non-exempt

- Start time flexible between 7:30 am and 8:30 am
