Job Summary
This role is not a clinical research position. The Research Ops Lead will manage logistical and administrative aspects of the Customer Research & Testing team, including participant recruitment, scheduling, budget oversight, data collection, and compliance with ethical and privacy standards. The role acts as the operational backbone of the research team, streamlining processes and maintaining efficiency across studies.
The Research Ops Coordinator will establish research and testing best practices, scale programs and tooling, and handle administrative complexities to enable the team to focus on solving customer problems. Responsibilities include defining program milestones, stakeholder communication, contracting tools, templates, processes, and roadmap tracking.
Please note: This is a User Experience (UX) Research Operations role, not clinical research support.
Essential Functions Of The RoleStrategic Planning & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Partner with leadership to define intake, planning, and roadmap processes for the team.
- Collaborate with strategists and researchers to plan, document, and report research activities.
- Work with cross-functional partners to understand needs and provide support mechanisms.
- Develop and improve the Research Operations strategy for scalability and automation.
Operational Management & Execution
- Support daily operations, including intake management, sprints, backlog, and retrospectives.
- Identify risks and dependencies, creating mitigation plans.
- Facilitate meetings with clear next steps and conflict resolution.
Governance, Compliance & Ethics
- Ensure research activities comply with HIPAA, CMS, and other standards.
- Establish participant consent and data protocols with Legal and Compliance teams.
Knowledge Management & Insight Reuse
- Manage a centralized research repository for insights accessibility and reusability.
- Implement taxonomy, tagging, and search standards for insight tracking.
Measurement & Reporting
- Track KPIs such as study turnaround time and participant recruitment efficiency.
- Support researchers in measuring the impact of insights.
Tooling & Vendor Management
- Manage vendor relationships and tool procurement in partnership with IT and procurement.
Team Enablement & Onboarding
- Create onboarding programs and enablement materials for new researchers.

- Experience with research, testing, and design strategies.
- Minimum of 5 years in Research Operations, Design Operations, or related fields.
