Overview

The Operations Supervisor manages the performance and professional development of the Operations team. Responsibilities include training, employee development, work assignment, and acting as a resource. The role also involves managing relationships with global service providers and vendors, overseeing shipment bookings, and ensuring timely logistics transfers. Additionally, the supervisor will assist with daily shipment processing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage dispatchers and support team performance, assignments, and training.
• Ensure daily operations meet service level agreements, including metrics like Days to Complete, Reschedules, and Escalations.
• Build strong partnerships with agents, contractors, field management, and dispatchers.
• Analyze employee productivity using platforms like Power BI, SLR, Fresh Desk, and Ring Central.
• Provide feedback, address performance issues, and make staffing decisions.
• Handle escalated issues and follow through to resolution.
• Manage shipment routes, schedules, and tracking, ensuring adherence to processes and mobile app usage.
• Demonstrate leadership through work ethic and high performance.
• Communicate effectively with different audiences.
• Maintain a safe working environment following safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years freight forwarding experience.
• 1-3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and AS400.
• Understanding of routing operations.
• Experience in supervision and labor scheduling.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and time management skills.
