Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner PMHNPPsychiatric Nurse Practitioners are part of a multidisciplinary team that provides integrated behavioral health treatment to clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaborating with therapists, case managers, nurses and other members the treatment team, Nurse Practitioners assist in the development of an individualized treatment plans. Nurse Practitioner duties may include:completing initial psychiatric evaluations and assessing mental health & physical health status at routine appointmentsprescribing & monitoring psychotropic medications and educating clients & their support system about the medication's purpose, appropriate dosage, and possible side effectscollaborating with each client to create an individualized treatment planeducating staff, clients, and other community partners about individual mental health needsfollowing trauma-informed principles in all aspects of client careassessing clients for safety and risk to self or others, and taking appropriate crisis intervention measures when indicatedcompleting all documentation & charting in a timely, client-centered mannerparticipating in on-call and rounding rotations for our inpatient facilities, if placed in Yakima or nearby locationProfessional Credentials:Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license with psychiatric certification & Registered Nurse license (both in Washington State), federal DEA certificationOther Credentials Required: First Aid/CPR Certification, Driver's License, Vehicle Liability InsuranceExcellent Benefits• Competitive salaries within our communities & industry• Healthcare coverage for employee & qualified family members• Generous vacation, paid holiday & sick leave• Access to Employee Assistance Program services• Agency-funded retirement plan with contributions equal to 5% of compensation• Additional retirement investment opportunities with a 50% investment match• Agency-funded life & disability insurance program
