RoleAs a licensed architect in a leadership position, you will oversee project deliverables, guide document production, and coordinate across disciplines including consultants. You will influence the success of Construction Phase Services alongside the PM, ensuring quality through QA reviews and feedback. Your role is vital in fostering a culture of precision and innovation within our interiors practice.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Ensure the design intent established by the Project Designer is incorporated into detailed documentation; monitor the design process from conceptual to construction administration; handle technical resolution and coordination for project portions; perform product research; check reports and plans for accuracy; set strategies for document production and BIM integration; manage project standards and software parameters; foster collaboration within the project team; communicate with disciplines, vendors, and contractors; ensure documentation quality; supervise technical drawings; lead certain projects; mentor staff; promote sustainable practices.
- Client Interface: Develop positive relationships with client leadership; communicate project progress and requirements; uphold client service commitments.
- Teamwork: Coordinate project direction and technical guidance; track documentation and project schedules; assist with planning, approvals, and reports; support project meetings and site visits; participate in specifications and design research; contribute to project cost and schedule reviews.
- Business Development: Participate in meetings targeting new projects, clients, or markets.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture required
- 10+ years of interiors workplace experience preferred
- Current licensed Architect required; NCARB registration preferred
- Project size over 30,000 SF
- LEED credential within 12 months of employment
Skills & Competencies:
- Creative talent in design and rendering
- Knowledge of design trends, materials, and construction methodology
- Expertise in FF&E, finishes, lighting, signage, art, and color schemes
- Understanding of building regulations and safety codes
- Proficiency in technical design tools, including Revit, MS Office, Deltek Vision, and graphic software
- Strong communication, teamwork, and deadline management skills
Additional Information:
- Travel and overtime may be required
- Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 annually in Washington D.C.
