Your main responsibilities

PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION OVERVIEW:Proven project management experience is essential. As a Schindler Project Manager, you will work with sales representatives and customers to ensure specifications are fully met, collaborate with superintendents and engineering teams to resolve technical issues, and coordinate with local and regional management to ensure high-quality, profitable installations and modernizations. This customer-focused role requires excellent interpersonal skills to build strong customer relationships, promote Schindler's presence in the marketplace, and achieve organizational financial goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage new installation and modernization projects to ensure timely completion, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Review and book projects within one week of award; notify management if deadlines cannot be met, and provide action plans.
  • Coordinate with engineering and vendors to ensure project materials are ready before project start dates.
  • Track project progress with the Field Superintendent and communicate any delays or issues.
  • Identify change order opportunities; prepare and submit change order paperwork; obtain customer approval before proceeding with related work.
  • Ensure projects are invoiced and paid at least 90% before elevator turnover.
  • Participate in professional development to stay updated on Schindler products and procedures.

Expected Salary Range: $110,700 - $138,400, depending on experience.

What you bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or Finance, with prior project management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the elevator or related building systems industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
