Job Description

This role is responsible for leading the development of end-to-end data-driven solutions, from data collection and model development to deployment and maintenance of business-facing inference services. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, optimizing data models for cloud performance, and maintaining scalable predictive systems. The role involves collaborating across teams to establish best practices and reusable components, ensuring high-quality execution of analytic products that serve the business. As a technical leader, you will drive the development and deployment of machine learning solutions with a focus on observability, security, and efficient cloud utilization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify languages and tools that can bring efficiencies or needed techniques to the team. Develop new data sources to solve business problems.
  • Utilize effective project planning to break down complex machine learning projects into tasks, manage scope, and meet deadlines.
  • Mentor and develop team members.
  • Develop complex statistical and machine learning models to address business needs and improve data-driven decisions.
  • Review and communicate modeling techniques and results to ensure understanding and integration into business processes.
  • Develop and execute communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and influence business decisions.
  • Collaborate with outside business units to design, build, and implement machine learning models to improve business results.
  • Understand business problems to identify the optimal modeling approach.
  • Develop frameworks and prototypes that integrate data and machine learning models for decision-making.
Functional Experience
  • Experience building and optimizing cloud-based machine learning systems with proficiency in at least one major cloud provider.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), observability tools, and cloud security practices.
  • Familiarity with data science tools and libraries like Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
Education & Experience
  • Masters Degree (Preferred)
  • 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)
Additional Information

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $95,700 to $170,925, based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate will be required to submit to a background investigation.
