Job Description As a Security Professional - Front Desk in Elkridge, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more . As a Front Desk professional in an aerospace and defense location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors and assisting with access control. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will maintain a visible and approachable demeanor, supporting a welcoming environment. Our team values agility, reliability, and innovation, and we work together with integrity to put people first. This post may require driving as part of the role. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.30 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PMSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PMResponsibilities: * Greet and assist visitors, employees, and contractors at the front desk, verifying identification and access credentials as required by site-specific policies. * Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location. * Maintain detailed logs and records of visitor activity, incidents, and other relevant information as required by site procedures. * Communicate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed to support emergency response activities. * Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting with directions or information related to the location's procedures and policies.Minimum Requirements: * At least 1 year of security experience is required. * A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. * A Guard Card or license is preferred. * Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Perks and Benefits: * Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positions * Schedules that fit with your personal life goals * Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities * Employee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues, and much more...Closing Allied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
