Job Description :

CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER

The company is seeking junior, mid-level, and senior Cyber Security Engineers to provide SETA support in Hanover, MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Train users and promote security awareness to ensure system security and improve server and network efficiency.
  • Develop plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure, and meet emergency data processing needs.
  • Confer with users to discuss issues such as data access needs, security violations, and programming changes.
  • Monitor reports of computer viruses to determine when to update virus protection systems.
  • Modify security files to incorporate new software, correct errors, or change access permissions.
  • Regulate access to data files to safeguard information.
  • Perform risk assessments and test data processing systems to ensure security and functionality.
  • Encrypt data transmissions and erect firewalls to protect confidential information during transmission.
  • Document security policies, procedures, and tests.
  • Review security violations and discuss procedures with violators to prevent recurrence.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, telecommunications, or related field (6 years of experience may substitute for degree).
  • Minimum years of experience in DoD INFOSEC:
    • Junior: 3 years
    • Mid-level: 5 years
    • Senior: 8 years

    SECURITY CLEARANCE

    Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance required.

    TRAVEL

    Some travel may be required.
