TA Instruments' Product Solutions team is comprised of highly skilled, motivated, and customer-focused professionals who develop and champion the implementation of the company's product strategy. As the Senior Product Manager, you will be a key member of the team responsible for the growth and health of products in the TA Instruments product portfolio. You will lead business planning and execution for the thermal franchise, which includes defining the portfolio strategy, managing key products throughout their lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, and working closely with R&D and commercial teams to deliver successful products and business growth.

You will be responsible for working with sales, marketing, and applications to communicate key value propositions and product positioning to target markets and customers through various formats. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with all major business groups while maintaining and building relationships with customers worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Manage product lifecycle, making key decisions and adjustments based on market and business conditions.
  • Investigate, define, and create the product roadmap for key thermal products aligned with materials characterization strategy, including prioritization of technologies, markets, and personas.
  • Establish a compelling vision and strategy to achieve strategic and financial objectives.
  • Define product/solution segmentation and positioning.
  • Plan and lead new product launches in coordination with sales, marketing, and applications to maximize impact on top-line growth.
  • Conduct market research, assess market trends and competitive activities, and identify customer needs.
  • Partner with R&D to formulate and execute strategies for new product development.
  • Translate market needs into clear business opportunities and product requirements through market segmentation and voice of customer.
  • Provide business leadership during product development and commercialization to ensure delivery of products that meet market needs and drive growth.
  • Lead commercial product enablement activities, including customer value messaging, competitive analysis, product training, and sales tools.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record in implementing go-to-market product strategies within a matrix environment.
  • Strong experience in developing product roadmaps and line plans.
  • Expertise in developing customer needs, market requirements, and financial models.
  • Ability to understand scientific theories relevant to technical instrument requirements.
  • Leadership qualities, accountability, customer focus, results orientation, team-building, flexibility, and innovation.
