Position Summary

This is an IBEW Local 1245 represented classification with over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E.

The employee works independently, without direct supervision, performing compliance-related work including:

This position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening.

PG&E provides the hourly rate range that the company believes it might pay at the time of posting. This range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate will depend on factors such as skills, education, licenses, certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreement, and internal equity. While the successful candidate is likely to be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the final decision will be made case-by-case.

The starting hourly rate range, under the collective bargaining agreement, is $50.86 to $58.06, subject to wage increases.

Job Responsibilities

• Initiate Gas Corrective forms for abnormal operating conditions found in the field.
• Complete required paperwork to correct or update Gas Mapping discrepancies.
• Perform large-scale/complex locate and mark projects, delineate work areas.
• Provide oversight to third-party problematic excavator worksites.
• DOT operations/maintenance and emergency response.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Valid California Class C Driver's License by Day 1.
• Ability to work in all weather extremes.
• Ability to drive safely in all conditions.
• Ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must wear company-provided PPE.

Desired:

• Residence within 50 miles of headquarters.
• Gas and electric locate and mark experience.
• Previous construction or utility experience.
• Current or previous PowerPathway student.
