Lead Laser Operator (3rd Shift)
Pay: $25-28/hr.
Shift: 10p-6am (Mon-Fri)
Description:
- Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a third shift Laser Machine Operator Lead. This person would operate laser machines and oversee a small team of 1-2 other Laser Machine Operators. A prospective candidate would have lead experience and manufacturing experience. An ideal candidate will have a background in laser operating in a metal shop environment. The selected candidate will receive comprehensive training on the laser operation.
Requirements:
- Manufacturing/Production experience, preferably in a metal shop environment
- Previous leadership experience
- Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring instruments; good mathematical skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude; a desire to learn
- Positive attitude, good work ethic, and good communication skills
Job Duties:
- Provide day-to-day direction and support to the 2-3 shop floor employees
- Operate and maintain the laser cutting machines to produce parts that meet quality and productivity standards and the production schedule
- Complete computer control set-up and adjustments;
- Perform material handling duties
- Complete paperwork for projects to include materials used, time keeping records, and time and material work
- Assist in preparing finished products for customer pick-up or delivery
