Description Fleet Engineers is a part of the Tramec Sloan family, which has facilities located throughout the United States. Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm but hours could vary.Summary of Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Works with and communicates closely with the warehouse team
  • Reads customer order to determine material and quantities to be packed.
  • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers.
  • Counting and labeling products according to customer specifications
  • Works with UPS WorldShip and FedEx computer systems
  • Use of RF scanner transactions as needed
  • This person must be able to lift at least 50lbs
  • Good reading and comprehension skills
  • Good math skills
  • Responsible for working in accordance with our documented Quality System and for ensuring that products and services meet the customer's specified requirements
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area using the 5S process, and follows all safety policies and procedures
  • May be required by management to perform other reasonable work related tasks
  • May be required to work different shifts, hours, overtime and weekends if needed
Requirements
  • 1 year warehouse experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • The ability to use scanner devices and computer literacy required.
  • Must be detail oriented and be able to work with numbers including reading numbers, recording them correctly and be able to count large quantities accurately.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to effectively interact with all levels of staff.
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities required.
  • Must be attentive to detail, organized, results oriented, and have a high level of accuracy.
  • Previous Hi-Lo experience preferred. May be required to obtain hi-lo license within 1-month of employment if job assigned within department requires driving hi-lo (training & certification is provided by Tramec Sloan).
