The Warehouse Associate II is responsible for receiving deliveries into the facility, maintaining inventory, picking & packing customer orders and loading outbound shipments in a timely manner. To accomplish these tasks, employees will actively interface with RF scanners and the warehouse management system. MJS believes in delivering high quality products in a timely and efficient manner. To that end, employees will work in a fast-paced, energetic environment with a focus on continuous improvement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Offload delivery trucks and containers
- Examine inbound shipment contents and compare with packing lists to verify accuracy
- Inspect merchandise for damage, flaws, and irregularities
- Communicate with appropriate personnel on any shipments that are out of compliance
- Use RF scanner to receive products into system and put away into designated storage areas
- Utilize RF scanner to perform cycle counts as well as unplanned counts to reconcile shipping discrepancies
- Use RF scanner to pick and fulfill orders in a timely, efficient manner
- Examine outbound shipment contents and compare with pick tickets to verify accuracy
- Pack, seal, shrink wrap, or label cartons and pallets for shipping
- Accurately stage and sort orders for loading
- Load LTL and FTL shipments
- General warehouse maintenance to keep the facility clean and organized
- Adhere to state health and safety practices
- Other duties as assigned
DESIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of warehousing or material-handling experience
- Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions
- Ability to accurately match numbers & letters
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work on a team as well as work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to professionally communicate with others
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to work overtime as needed is an advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

- Proficiency with electronic picking and receiving devices and systems
- Certified forklift operations license
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to meet physical requirements including a variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves; other physical activities include lifting, climbing ladders; use of a pallet jack; opening and closing of dock doors; pulling of manual dock chains; and stacking cardboard boxes and pallets.
