Experience in small animal practice preferred. Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status. Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health issues in pets. Perform surgeries and medical procedures as needed. Administer vaccinations and medications according to established protocols. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality care. Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education. Requirements Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary college. Valid veterinary license to practice in the state of Tennessee. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy. Familiarity with aseptic techniques is preferred. Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
