We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Business Development to lead growth initiatives in our denim apparel division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development within the denim industry, particularly with department stores, and possess an established network of industry contacts and customers. This role requires a strategic thinker and a results-driven leader who can identify opportunities, build relationships, and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

Business Development and Growth

• Develop and implement innovative business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive growth in the denim division.
• Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the denim sector.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, merchandising, and production, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.

Account Management and Relationship Building

• Manage key accounts, with a focus on department stores and other major retail partners.
• Leverage your industry expertise and established network to cultivate strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
• Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts, providing insights and recommendations to maximize sales potential.

Market Analysis and Competitor Research

• Stay informed about denim industry trends, consumer preferences, and the competitive landscape.
• Analyze market data and customer feedback to develop tailored sales strategies.
• Monitor competitor activities and identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead and motivate a diverse team to achieve their goals and full potential.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture focused on innovation and excellence.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the denim apparel industry, with a focus on department stores, off-price, full-price, or big-box retailers.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of denim pricing structures, market dynamics, and emerging consumer trends.
• Established network of industry contacts and a demonstrated ability to build and maintain key relationships.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Results-oriented mindset with a proactive, strategic approach to business development.
• Proficiency in analyzing market data to develop actionable insights.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing high-performing teams.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and other relevant tools.

Compensation/Benefits:

• The approximate annual base salary range for this position is $180,000.00 - $200,000.00. The offered salary or salary range for this position will vary based on role requirements, skill set and years of experience.
