Description
  • You will work on challenging assignments that include designing HVAC systems, investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of HVAC engineering issues.
  • You will collaborate with others to develop integrated HVAC systems, including:
    • Commercial/Industrial Ventilation Systems
    • Control room HVAC
    • Laboratory HVAC
    • Chilled water system design
    • Heating system design
  • Provide support in planning, scheduling, conducting, or coordinating the detailed design phases of all aspects of facility engineering work.
  • Perform design calculations and develop detailed system designs.
  • Prepare technical specifications for HVAC equipment.
  • Prepare engineering studies.
  • Support other engineers, project managers, client personnel, and suppliers to ensure complete and timely designs.
  • Assist senior engineers with reviews of existing facilities to propose upgrades and replacements, and present findings and recommendations to clients and peers.
  • Maintain familiarity with ASHRAE standards and current HVAC industry codes and standards.

This position is based on a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence 3 days per week.

Qualifications

Essential skills and experience include:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Ten or more years of relevant HVAC and chilled water system design experience for commercial, laboratory, and industrial facilities.
  • Proficiency in TRACE 700 or 3D+ programs, AutoCAD, and Microstation; ability to create design flow diagrams and P&ID diagrams.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards applicable to HVAC and ventilation systems.
  • Experience in preparing HVAC studies.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, conducting, or coordinating detailed design phases of facility engineering work.

Valued but not required:

  • Membership in ASHRAE.
  • PE license.

$109,410.00 - $168,770.00
