Position Overview

Novartis is currently hiring an experienced and passionate Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for its Oncology division to be based in West Bengal. This field-based role plays a crucial part in bridging scientific expertise and clinical knowledge with healthcare professionals (HCPs), academic institutions, and policymakers. As an MSL, you will support medical strategies, ensure ethical engagement, and help co-create solutions that improve access and outcomes for patients. Novartis Hiring for Medical Science Liaison

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a scientific expert in the assigned therapeutic area, with preference for Oncology.
• Engage and build long-term relationships with Key Medical Experts (KMEs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and academic institutions to facilitate two-way scientific exchange.
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to shape the Integrated Product Strategy (IPS) and Evidence Generation Plans.
• Contribute to Launch Excellence Roadmaps, ensuring robust medical readiness and field insights integration.
• Identify unmet medical needs, data gaps, and opportunities for real-world evidence (RWE) generation.
• Support clinical development activities including clinical trials, Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs), and Managed Access Programs (MAPs).
• Utilize digital platforms for stakeholder engagement, insights gathering, and knowledge dissemination.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.
• Novartis Hiring for Medical Science Liaison
• Advanced degree in health or life sciences is required:
  • PharmD, PhD, MD, M.Pharm, or M.Sc.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Medical Affairs or similar scientific engagement roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Deep scientific knowledge, strong communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience working in a field-based, cross-functional environment.
• Proficiency in leveraging digital tools and CRM systems for stakeholder management.

Preferred Experience

• Therapeutic experience in Oncology is highly desirable.
• Previous experience with clinical trials, real-world evidence generation, or regulatory compliance is an added advantage.
