Reports to: Construction Manager

Works closely with: Construction Manager, Site Quality Manager, Owners, Subcontractors, Project Management Team

Position Summary: This is a field-based position working closely with the Project Management team to manage the electrical scope of the project, ensuring construction aligns with the owner's contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the electrical superintendents team.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities to ensure schedule adherence, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions.
  • Track and report progress to the project team and owner through reports and meetings.
  • Review engineering drawings for compliance and collaborate on clarifications or deviations.
  • Coordinate material delivery and address potential delays with the project team.
  • Promote a safety culture among Signal and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate and sign off permits, review safety procedures, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Supervise procedures for electrical installation, testing, and energization.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of electrical theory, including NEC standards.
  • Experience with electrical activities such as trenching, equipment installation, and testing.
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment functions and components.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and identify discrepancies.
  • Understanding of construction scheduling and critical path activities.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, OSHA regulations, and electrical safety practices.
  • Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred.
