Schedule: 7am - 3:30pm / Full Time / 40 Hours

Salary range: $22.56 - $30.22

We are seeking a Supervisor for Central Sterile Processing at Winship, Emory Midtown Hospital who is a certified technician committed to quality work and patient safety.

This individual will:

• Coordinate and oversee daily activities between the Operating Room (OR) and Central Sterile Services Department (CSS) to ensure efficient case flow.
• Maintain current knowledge of standards such as CBSPD, AAMI, or IAHCSMM.
• Stay updated on aseptic techniques and microbiology to understand disease transmission and the importance of sterile supplies in patient care.
• Collaborate with SPD Educator to develop in-service education programs, assess supplies needed for surgical procedures, set up case carts, maintain inventory, and manage instrument trays and patient care equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Some college, an Associate's Degree, or Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in sterile processing, healthcare, or as an operating room scrub tech.
• Sterile Processing Technician Certification (CBSPD or CRCST) required; Surgical Tech candidates have 6 months to obtain certification.
• Completion of CHL Certification or CIS preferred; significant supervisory experience may waive this requirement if the candidate is a Surgical Technologist.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
