Job Description & Requirements

The Scientific Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research will be based at the AdventHealth Research Institute in Orlando, Florida. This role involves leading the Outcomes Research program, guiding research strategies, and collaborating across the health system to improve patient care through data-driven research. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience with large healthcare datasets, proficiency in data analysis tools like SAS or R, and a track record of securing external research funding. An MD, DO, or MD/PhD is preferred.

Key responsibilities include defining the research vision, leading funded projects, providing consultation to physician scientists, and leveraging enterprise data to inform healthcare improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience with healthcare data analysis
• Proficiency in SAS, R, or similar languages
• Experience with diverse data sources (clinical trials, EHR, claims, patient-reported, biospecimen, registries)
• Proven ability to obtain research funding from NIH, industry, or foundations
• MD, DO, or MD/PhD preferred
