You may have acquired the following skills:

• Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) or Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) core design and/or analysis experience from coursework or internships.
• Experience in computer model development and application (e.g., CASMO, SIMULATE, ANC, or other nuclear industry codes).
• Familiarity with engineering workstation computers and LINUX operating environments.
• Proficiency in programming/software such as FORTRAN, C/C++, or PYTHON.
• Strong team interaction skills and positive peer relationships.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.

Your Opportunity

This full-time role offers the chance to impact lives and promote clean energy. You will leverage your skills as a Core Neutronics Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, working within the Fuel Design Business Line. Responsibilities include:

• Developing economic core designs to optimize fuel usage within safety parameters using engineering codes and methods.
• Leading reload licensing activities and pioneering new fuel management techniques.
• Using optimization tools and automation to improve analyses.
• Collaborating with customers and regulatory bodies to secure approvals for reactor core designs.
• Preparing and reviewing design reports, safety analyses, and calculation files.

Your Total Rewards Package

The salary range is $65,000 - $84,000, potentially including incentives, bonuses, and benefits. Compensation varies based on qualifications, skills, and location.
