Position Overview

The Senior Financial Business Partner provides strategic financial support to the business. This position requires a blend of financial expertise, business acumen, and the ability to influence and drive strategic initiatives. This role acts as a key advisor to the Program Management leadership, supporting all financial elements relating to revenue recognition, contract review and approval, and sales to program margin forecasting. The role also ensures financial goals are met and business strategies are effectively implemented. It involves engaging with business partners to understand processes, performance, highlight risks and opportunities, and foster well-informed decisions.

We are investing over $2 billion in establishing a new large-scale manufacturing site in Holly Springs, North Carolina, which will be the largest end-to-end cell culture CDMO provider in North America, offering comprehensive solutions including drug substance manufacture, automated fill-finish, packaging, and labeling services.

Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do
  • Analyze and manage financial data related to profit margins, monitoring and optimizing profitability.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers to develop and evaluate client project profitability and modeling.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, ensuring alignment with company goals and identifying efficiency opportunities.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders to maximize value.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare finance reconciliations for client projects against internal systems.
  • Review revenue recognition, profitability, and cash flow implications.
  • Contribute to monthly leadership reports, CFO reports, and bi-annual budgets.
  • Optimize contract and pricing strategies, ensuring models are accurate and aligned globally.
  • Review and approve customer contracts, change orders, inter-company agreements, and Master Service Agreements, following proper approval processes.
  • Work closely with the Program management team, providing finance support and insights.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines, including financial reporting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to support business goals and transparency.
  • Identify and support the implementation of process improvements.
  • Adhere to safety requirements and complete training schedules promptly.
  • Maintain technical knowledge through workshops and publications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with 8+ years of experience OR
  • Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with revenue recognition and understanding of basic accounting principles.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
