Role Summary
The General Manager will oversee operations at our JFK facility, ensuring smooth functioning, maintaining financial health, and meeting regulatory standards. dnata is a global leader in air services, serving over 300 airline customers daily across 127 airports worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Manage overall facility operations including quality, operations, and purchasing.Ensure profitability and meet financial targets.Implement cost-saving initiatives and improve quality standards.Maintain compliance with food safety standards like HACCP, SSOP, GMP, and regulatory audits.Lead and develop a high-performance team.Build relationships with external partners and stakeholders.Develop policies, procedures, and business plans.Monitor operational metrics and implement improvements.Manage risks and ensure safety, health, and environmental compliance.Participate in budgeting and financial forecasting.Optimize processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of inflight catering experience or equivalent.
- Proven leadership in airline catering, preferably with international accounts.
- Experience in budgeting, operations management, and food safety compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Additional Information
Salary range: $138,000 - $163,000 annually, influenced by experience and qualifications. The role is full-time, senior-level (Director), within the Management and Manufacturing industry, focusing on Airlines and Aviation.
