Are you a dynamic IT leader with a passion for innovation in healthcare technology? True Rx Health Strategists is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) solutions. As a Solutions Architect, you'll lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge IT systems that drive efficiency, enhance performance, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

As the Solutions Architect, you'll architect and design end-to-end IT solutions supporting PBM functions such as claims processing, eligibility, formulary management, and pharmacy network services. You'll collaborate with stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure successful implementation aligned with strategic goals.

Work is 100% remote, with in-office meetings and trainings as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect & Design Solutions: Develop end-to-end IT solutions supporting PBM/vendor operations, including claims processing, eligibility, formulary management, and pharmacy networks.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide architectural guidance, ensuring best practices in system design, security, and scalability.
  • Integration Strategy: Design and oversee API, streaming, and system integrations for seamless data exchange with health plans, providers, and pharmacies.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure solutions meet industry regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, SOC 2) and incorporate security best practices.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business leaders, product managers, QA, Operations, and IT teams to translate needs into technical solutions.
  • Technology Evaluation: Assess emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions for efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Documentation & Standards: Maintain architectural standards, best practices, and technical documentation.
  • What You Bring
    • 7+ years in IT architecture, with at least 3 years in a PBM, healthcare, or payer environment.
    • Technical Expertise:
      • Cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
      • Microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven designs
      • Healthcare standards (FHIR, HL7, EDI)
      • Database technologies (SQL, NoSQL)
      • Enterprise integration, ETL, middleware
      • Security frameworks and standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST, SOC 2)
    • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and stakeholder influence.
    • Analytical, systems thinker with logical and critical problem-solving abilities.
