POSITION SUMMARY
The Building Systems Warranty Lead will manage and execute fixes for all warranty claims submitted by purchasers of Fading West modular homes. This role is responsible for receiving warranty claims, communicating with claimants, and ensuring a solution is executed in a timely manner. The Warranty Lead must maintain a schedule and budget for each claim and follow all processes to ensure proper protocol has been followed. This role also requires a unique blend of oversight and execution. The warranty manager is not only responsible for managing the claim but executing the solution whenever possible. In addition to warranty work, this role will be responsible for post-set and stitch site inspections and pre-oversite and initial oversite inspections on homes built by Fading West. This role requires excellent customer service and technical expertise in a wide range of trades.
Responsibilities
- Maintain warranty claim portal and communicate with clients in a timely & respectful manner.
- Source material to perform necessary fixes to complete claims.
- Travel to job sites across Colorado and perform warranty work in homes as required. Work will generally be in the following trades:
- Drywall patching
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Roofing
- Flooring
- General Maintenance
- Train warranty representatives to aid in completing work for claims.
- Report to Quality Manager with updates on claims and issues on a weekly basis.
- Perform post-set and stitch site inspections with purchaser or their representative.
- Perform pre-oversight site inspections and initial oversight inspections.
- Strategically collaborate with purchasers and their general contractors to help contribute to progressing modular finish on active projects while still meeting warranty expectations.
- Assist with quality inspections in Fading West manufacturing facility when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience preferred.
- Previous task management experience preferred.
- Experience with reading building plans and basic framing layout required.
- Working knowledge of job-site tools & equipment maintenance required.

Requirements
- This position requires travel about 75% of the time to projects across the state of Colorado. A valid license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel is a must.
- This position is an in-person role.
- Must be competent and comfortable with computer skills and navigate modern technology often (Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, etc.).
- This role requires signing a confidentiality agreement.
- May require a reference check that speaks to the positive character of the applicant.
- May be regularly required to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, lift or carry more than 50 pounds, climb/balance on stairs or ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
